Editorial mission.

A UK learner spending £400 to £11,000 on a course deserves an independent review before they buy. International academies write great marketing pages but they do not compare each other. Escape Studios does not tell you when CG Spectrum is a better fit. That gap is our job.

We are UK-focused. Every price is in GBP. Every career page reflects the actual UK studio hiring landscape (Soho VFX, Bristol animation, Manchester games cluster). Every review names an alternative and links to it.

How we review.

• Curriculum depth. Does the course cover the pipeline software UK studios actually use?
• Price transparency. Is the fee published, in GBP, without hidden add-ons?
• Instructor bench honesty. Are the named instructors on the site the ones you actually get?
• Career outcomes. Are the claimed alumni credits public and verifiable?
• UK learner fit. Does the geography, cost, and pace work for a UK learner?

Every school gets one of four verdict chips: Recommended (Cyan), Not the right fit (Hot Pink), Alternative to consider (Amber), or Verified price (Mint). We revisit every review every 6 months.

Editorial team.

Reviews are written and signed by the MTC editorial team pending named-author onboarding. Where a review is authored by a working UK CG artist, the byline says so and links to their portfolio. If the byline says ‘MTC editorial team’, we wrote it in-house against the review criteria above.
